Plumbing Ecommerce Sales Support Specialist

Applications are being accepted for the position of full-time Ecommerce Sales Support Specialist for our eCommerce business. This position is located at our Head Office in Victoria, BC.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and personable individual with good organizational skills to help us serve and support our online customers. This position will be responsible for responding to inbound phone and email requests in order to help customers select the right products and resolve any issues they have with the ordering and fulfillment process. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize customer issues and provide excellent customer service in a technically demanding and evolving area.


  • organize and prioritize customer requests (triage)

  • provide friendly and timely customer support both through email and over the phone

  • obtain and evaluate information on consumer-oriented plumbing products to handle product inquiries

  • work with our purchasing and fulfillment teams to help customers resolve issues in the ordering and delivery process

  • provide pricing, stock and delivery information from a variety of internal systems

  • prepare custom quotations for large jobs and special orders

  • research solutions for customer problems and present them in an organized and friendly manner

  • escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team member

  • collaborate with the ecommerce team to creatively better serve the customer

Required Skills and Experience:

  • at least 3 years experience in customer service in a retail or wholesale business

  • the ability to make customer centric decisions in a fast paced environment

  • the ability to work effectively and problem solve within a team

  • the ability to develop rapport and form enduring relationships with customers

  • the ability to actively and assertively listen to customer requests and respond proactively

  • a passion for helping customers and creating a positive experience

  • excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • competence with computers and word processing/spreadsheet software

  • a proven track record of life-long learning and personal advancement

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • knowledge and/or experience with a wide range of consumer-oriented plumbing products

  • familiar with web based tools such as Zendesk and Shopify
