Reporting to the VP of Purchasing, under the direction of the department administrator, the Quotations Assistant will prepare logistical quotations, processing, markups, and terms and conditions for company branches. The Quotations Assistant will also offer customer support by phone and email, and collaborate with internal staff to secure quotations.

This position will suit a detail-oriented, well-organized, and team-oriented office administrator with a passion for numbers and getting things right the first time. Experience working in an administrative/quotations role will be an asset. The successful individual possesses excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills, and is motivated to advance within the company.

Essential Skills:

  • High school diploma

  • Basic computer skills

  • Well-organized

  • Ability to type 45 WPM

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Excellent mathematical skills

  • Legible handwriting

  • Excellent inter-personal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Post-secondary education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Working knowledge of construction/building materials

  • Quotations skills and experience
