Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) are apps built with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but which have the feel and function of an actual native app.

• The updates are independent, you don't need to visit the Play or App Store for an update.
• They're fast and lightweight.
• They're easy to install.

Android

Using Chrome, follow these steps:

• Navigate to sheret.com/account/login.
• Provide your account credentials and log in.
• If you have more than one account instance, select the one you want to make as your web app.
• Tap Install when the pop up shows at the bottom of the page title header. If the popup doesn’t appear, select the “Add to Home screen” option from the browser menu.
• The portal can now be accessed directly from the new ASL Portal icon on your phone’s home screen.

iOS

Using Safari, follow these steps:

• Navigate to sheret.com/account/login.
• Provide your account credentials and log in.
• If you have more than one account instance, select the one you want to make as your web app.
• In the address bar of your browser, click share.
• In the share menu, navigate to the option that says “Add top Home Screen.”
• The portal can now be accessed directly from the new ASL Portal icon on your phone’s home screen.

• Q: How do I remove a progressive web app? Can they be uninstalled?
  • A: Yes! Even though progressive web apps aren’t installed like a conventional application, they can be easily removed. For iOS, press and hold the app icon until a menu appears, then tap on Delete Bookmark. For Android, navigate to your app drawer or home screen, and open Settings. Tap Apps and Notifications, See All Apps, and tap the ASL Portal icon to remove it.
